National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

 Oklahoma City National Memorial

Following the devastating bombing in 1995 of the Alfred P. Murrah Freedom Building in Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum was erected as a way to remember those who were lost, those who survived, and those whose lives were changed forever. The Memorial takes visitors on a journey of the story of April 19, 1995 and the days that came after to help understand its impact on not only OKC, but the country as a whole.

The Oklahoma History Center

 Enjoy a day learning about the history of Oklahoma by viewing more than 2,000 artifacts covering over 50 different topics at the Oklahoma History Center. Visitors can go on a self-guided exploration of Oklahoma from past to present, strolling through four permanent galleries and outdoor exhibits.

 Oklahoma City Museum of Art

 The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is considered a true treasure of OKC. Visitors can immerse themselves in an expansive collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs and more in the heart of the OKC Arts District. Don’t miss catching a glimpse of the amazing 55-foot glass tower in the Chihuly glass collections! 

Harn Homestead and 1889ers Museum

 One of the most intriguing museums in Oklahoma City, the historic Harn Homestead features an original Victorian home, a one-room schoolhouse, a stone and cedar barn with an enclosed windmill and a working farm. Visitors step right into the past to reminisce about days gone by while learning about the traditions of Oklahoma’s early settlers.

Science Museum Oklahoma

 Spend a day immersed in all things science-related at the Science Museum in OKC. Enjoy interactive and hands-on exhibits, a Segway course to learn about the Gyro effect, construct a bridge, and so much more. Formerly called the Omniplex, the Science Museum is considered a premiere educational Oklahoma City attraction, and is located in the Adventure District. 

Museum of Osteology

 This 7,000-square foot facility boasts a collection of nearly 300 skulls and skeletons from all over the world. The Museum of Osteology is a little-known gem and is the first of its kind in the country, with exhibits that focus on the form and function of the skeletal system.

Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum

Opened in 1969 as a valuable education tool to the residents of OKC, the Oklahoma State Firefighters Museum features antique fire apparatus and equipment, some of which date back as far as the mid-18th century. The museum is operated by the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association and is located in the Adventure District.
