Thunder Basketball Team Assists Concordia Residents with Holiday Giving

Patrick Patterson of the Oklahoma City Thunder visited Concordia and helped residents create a special craft to accompany 300 holiday care bags for seniors in the OKC community. For the fourth year in a row, Concordia Life Care Community partnered with the OKC Housing Authority to create 300 Christmas Care Bags for senior residents at the Housing Authority’s Candle Lake Senior Center, Danforth Senior Center and Classen Senior Center.

The bags contained necessary everyday items like deodorant and food items, as well as the special holiday craft, festive cups filled with goodies and chocolate basketballs. The yearly care bags allow Concordia residents to engage in meaningful activities and help others in their community.

Concordia is a nonprofit organization committed to upholding Christian values by serving the community. In addition to outreach partnerships with the OKC Housing Authority, Concordia utilizes programs including free Wellness on Wheels clinics, its DME/furniture donation program and Mobile Meals.
